Why I Started Small Town Marketing
Growing up, I watched my mother work 7 am to 10 pm every day in the restaurant industry, my father operate a telecommunications business, and my grandfather run his own party store. I always respected the grind and courage they had to take a step out of corporate America and attempt to live that American dream. The issue was, when you own a business, you only have so much time to do the things that need to get done, while other tasks get swept under the rug in hopes that a day of non-craziness will be in the near future. If you’re a business owner and you’re reading this, then you know that day never comes, which is what led me to the idea of Small Town Marketing.
For some, this is the life; they have made it. But for me, I felt like I could do so much more for my community and the businesses. I deeply understand that I had to take the leap. While college was a helpful building block in my life, the next steps were on me. I went ahead and got completely Google certified on my own time and took a true passion to where I am today in the world of digital marketing. While I do believe college is one of the largest frauds in the culture of the United States, it was the one stepping stone that led me to my true passion here with Small Town Marketing… And a lot of student debt..
Especially in today's world where companies just like mine will say whatever it takes to steal another dollar from you, we are trying to make the change to that rule. I could make this chapter 10x longer than the rest because my passion for helping small businesses is quite large. But the thing I want you as the reader to understand is I do this because I watched my family struggle in the hardest of times and If they just had the people behind them who were partners not just an agency then times could have been much easier. I encourage anyone who read this to simply click that phone number on my website and just have a conversation with me and you’ll see for yourself just how passionate I am about wanting to simply help.
If you’re reading this and you think, “I don’t need to advertise online,” you’re wrong… The traditional billboard, print ad, or even radio ad no longer cuts it when you’re looking for new business. This is where I come in handy, understanding how to send out flyers for a snail mail campaign is extremely easy, but we are in a day and age where hitting the proper target area with strategic keywords could double, triple, or 10x your sales. Truthfully, in the world of digital marketing, the impact you can have with a much smaller budget for your business is amazing and should be the main focus for attracting new customers into your business.
Frankly, this blog post goes against almost all of Google SEO guidelines for top-ranking pages, but I wanted to start doing something no other business like mine is doing… Just being honest, wholesome, and myself as I wrote these. I’m planning to do one or two of these a week depending on what topics I have to vent about, so if you enjoyed the read, check back soon. I may have something else up.
The End.
